Comme tous le coins de la Costa Brava, Gerone est une ville à échelle humaine, pour flâner à votre gré: activités culturelles, festivals, évènements... Sans doute Gerone est la ville de la zone Costa Brava avec plus d'offres pendant toute l'année.
Gérone possède quelques monuments de valeur historique énorme. Le vieux quartier est un d'eux. Sa muraille carolingienne permet accéder à des vues spectaculaires sur la ville et ses alentours. Elle offre une promenade par le chemin de ronde, qui ceinture le Centre Historique par l'est.
La Cathédrale combine des différents styles (XIe-XVIIe) et elle conserve encore des éléments du premier bâtiment roman (cloître, tour de Charlemagne). Cet cathédrale a la nef voûté avec l'espace le plus grande du monde. Une des images la plus emblematique de Gérone est formé par les Maisons sur l'Onyar. Ces sont des maisons peintes de couleurs vives construits le long du fleuve Onyar (qui traverse la ville).
Très connue est aussi le Call (Quartier Juif), un des mieux conservés de l'Europe. Le Centre Bonastruc Sa Porta est le musée et centre documental principal de cet important héritage historique. Un autre point d'attraction architectonique de la ville est protagonisé par le style lombard (s.XII). Sant Nicolau , temple roman, a nef unique avec un cimborium octogonal. Juste en face vous trouvez le Monastère de Sant Pere Galligants, avec des chapiteaux de l'église et le cloître de remarquable beauté.

The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful(I cannot stress this enough), the room was clean, tidy and really comfortable. I would definetely chose this Hotel if I ever go back to Girona. The location was not ideal, but when you consider the quality/price ratio; it is pretty good. Its 15 mins away from the train station and 20-25 mins from the old city. But it was pleasant for us tto walk through the city. Again, if I ever go back to Girona, I would stay at this hotel again. The car park is very tight, my room could have been a little larger. |

Wifi connection was too bad, I had to go at reception 2 times because of that and no one were able to come and help me at my room. Electricity cut 2 times and was able to damage my laptop. Reception girl was not friendly and does not understand English well. At the reception one guy asked me to pay 20 euro for early check in on phone one day earlier when I called then the other girl next day who make check in for me asked for 15 euro. Sound suspicious as, it does not seems to be a hotel fixed price or policy. E.G. I requested early check in at 11 but they did not even reply my email that it's not possible. I had request for 2 wine glass and opener to be placed at my room and non was there.HK Was cleaning the next room and it was a bit noisy during 5 hours at the same floor. I have paid almost 90 euro for this hotel because I consumed 2 beer from mini bar. But I stayed only for day time and I make check out because it wasn't that nice and I felt like I lost my money. Bed sheet was with black spot and I asked hk to give me another one and I changed my self. I have requested king size bed and I got 2 joined beds with paid 15 euro for early check in other wise I had to wait till 2 pm. I requested smoking room and at the reception girl has made fun of me when I said but kindly spray room with air fresher not to be bad smell, and she replied me with rude way that it's smoking room and should not be with good smell any way. Girl at reception did not describe any of hotel facilities to me at all.so in general I had bad time at this hotel, I am not really pleased with 8.9 rated by booking.com at the reception in there. I wont go back to this place again at all. Night shift front desk is unprofessional. Non smoking rooms do smell. |
